Gingerbread Bash is a fun, hands-on Christmas event for kids and families that can be hosted at church or at home. During this 60-90 minute program, families will build gingerbread nativities, hear the Christmas story from the Bible, sing songs, and discover the life-changing gift of God’s Son, Jesus. It’s perfect for churches of all sizes.
It’s so, so easy! Our simple, step-by-step instructions make planning and hosting this event a breeze. And unlike other Christmas programs, Gingerbread Bash requires only one host and no rehearsals.
Gingerbread Bash is a wonderful way to share the gospel with your community!

How does it work at church?
When the “Gingerbread Bash” countdown clock reaches zero, it’s time to play a festively fun large group game. As the laughter subsides, families begin building a gingerbread nativity set. Our easy-to-follow instructions make the building experience fun and simple.
Next, it’s time to hear the story of the first ever Christmas. You can tell it live with the help of our beautifully illustrated story slides or simply press play on the Bible story video. Afterwards, it’s the kid’s turn to retell the story in their own words using their gingerbread nativity set along with the provided Nativity cut-out characters. When finished, families will hear a short, gospel-centered message and sing an original, high-energy Christmas worship song.
How does it work at home?

If you would like to host “Gingerbread Bash” as an entirely at-home event, or if you want to send it home to families who were unable to attend your in-person event, we’ve created a video-driven experience that allows you to do that. Our “Parent Portal” makes it easy to access materials at home.
With minimal preparation, easy to follow instructions, and a video that leads families step-by-step through the entire experience, “Gingerbread Bash” is a truly unique way to celebrate the birth of Jesus at home.
How is Gingerbread Bash
different from year to year?
For many churches, Gingerbread Bash has become an annual tradition that grows bigger and bigger each year as families return and bring their friends. It’s never exactly the same, though. Each new “Bash” offers the perfect blend of familiarity with fresh new fun.
Every Bash has families building gingerbread nativities together, but the games, music, graphics, message and Bible story video are always new. It’s everything people loved about the previous Bashes, but with all new Christmas clothes!

A: You can start wherever you’d like! Many people begin with an older version, but if you love the theme of the newest one, feel free to start there. You really can’t go wrong—each Gingerbread Bash is designed to stand on its own and be a ton of fun.
Q. Can I preview the video before purchasing?
A: The video is designed to be a special part of the Gingerbread Bash experience, so we don’t release it ahead of time. But you can explore the detailed description of each Gingerbread Bash to see exactly what’s included and get a great feel for the experience before you buy.
Q. On average, how much does it cost per person or family?
A: If you follow our suggested supply list, the average cost is about $3–4 per person or around $10 per family. Costs may vary depending on local prices. Many people save by buying in bulk, shopping dollar stores, or finding creative ideas shared by others in our private Facebook group.
Q. We don’t have a big budget for decorations. Will it still be fun?
Absolutely! Decorations are optional—the heart of Gingerbread Bash is the fun, interactive way kids and families learn about the birth of Jesus. Whether you keep it simple or go all out, it will be a meaningful and memorable experience.
Q. Is there a place where I can see what others have done in the past?
A: Yes! Our Facebook group is full of creative ideas and inspiration from churches and families who’ve hosted Gingerbread Bash. You’ll receive a link to join once you make your purchase.
