Episode 8.1: Jesus and the Rich Young Ruler
I’ve heard of downsizing and moving into a smaller space, but this really is a bit much! What is David up to this time? He made a studio that him and Camille can’t even fit inside! You know, that reminds of something that Jesus said in the Bible. He said that it’s harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven than it is for a camel to fit through the tiny little hole in a needle! Talk about a tight squeeze! Jesus knew that sometimes things get in the way of following God. Let’s learn more about what Jesus has to say…preferably in a normal sized room!
Key Verse: Hebrews 12:1
Big Idea: Jesus wants us to remove anything that keeps us from following Him.
Bible Basis: Mark 10:17-31; Luke 18:18-30
Video Length: 10:48
Episode 8.2: Jesus and The Poor Widow
Timmy Bow Ties is rich! At least he’s rich in jelly beans! He somehow managed to grow a giant jelly bean plant! I wonder what he’ll do with all those jelly beans… he could be a mean old grump and hog them all for himself, or maybe instead he’ll be like the poor widow in the Bible who gave everything she had to God! I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
Key Verse: 2 Corinthians 9:7
Big Idea: God is the giver of all good things and He calls us to give with cheerful hearts.
Bible Basis: Mark 12:41-44
Video Length: 12:24
Episode 8.3: Jesus Washes the Disciple’s Feet
There’s a lot of strange things happening in this episode. David and Timmy look and sound super weird! Everything seems backwards! Did you know that Jesus did a few things backwards? Yeah, he even washed his disciples feet! Jesus was the big man in charge and it was completely backwards for him to wash the feet of his disciples, but he did it anyway because even though Jesus was God, he had a humble servant’s heart!
Key Verse: Mark 9:35
Big Idea: Jesus served others and wants us to do the same.
Bible Basis: John 13:1-17
Video Length: 10:18
